Finding Strength after an Iraqi Sniper Attack

Justin Constantine volunteered for deployment to Iraq in 2006, serving as a Civil Affairs Team Leader. While there, he was shot in the back of the head by a sniper. Miraculously he survived, largely due to the quick thinking and incredible skill of his comrades, who risked their lives to save his.
Justin was shot in October 2006. He was back to work June 2007. Justin has since found opportunities to help civilians and service members alike. Through his incredible experiences and recovery, Justin has built bridges to increase understanding and healing as each individual overcomes their own unique obstacles. His mantra is: “You’re stronger than you think you are. You can overcome any adversity in life.”
